If you have attended the National Breeders Championship show over the past few years, then you've watched 'Baby Grand' (better known as GiGi) and owner/exhibitor Autumn Wolf-Larkowski carry home the roses. After winning the 2012 NBC Two Year-Old Amateur Championship and the 2013 NBC Three Year-Old Amateur Champions they returned to claim the 2014 Manna-Pro NBC Four Year-Old Amateur Championship title.
'Baby Grand' was raised by her owners Brian and Autumn Larkowski of Strafford, MO. She is sired by NAB nominated Stallion 'Grand Central' and out of Larkowski's 'Witch Doctor' mare, 'Bewitched'.
As a coming two year old Larkowski made the decision to put 'Baby Grand' into the highly capable hands of Tom Williams, Williams has continued to train her throughout all three years of competition. Larkowski being a seasoned horseshow veteran knows that "It takes a team," she adds that "Tom, Danielle, and her husband Brian coach her in every class." I think that it is safe to say that this team makes for a "pretty good one!"
When asking Larkowski how to decribe her mare, she says that she "loves the fact GiGi has so much reach in her walk," noting that it "feels unbelievable!" She follows up saying that "just when you think she can't give you much more. Well, she does... She shocks you with her fantastic foxtrot . It's even more of a rush to ride."
Larkowski says that she has "always dreamed about winning the NAB show." Realizing that it takes a team, Larkowski says that she feels truly "honored to receive such wonderful support from her fans." Following up with wishing a "very sincere and special Thank You to Tom Williams and Danielle Anthony, it's been a fantastic experience!"
Congratulations again to 'Baby Grand' and her owners Autumn and Brian Larkowski on their 2014 NBC Four Year Old Championship win!
